... scared you there didn't I?
I don't mean gone from the forums nor forza 2(3), but Holland.

This time they are going to far...

They are thinking about a law that is pretty much the following:

If I USE the internet, I have to pay taxes so that newspapers can go about funding their "special projects" , or even if I buy something over the internet...

Read a bit more about it here: http://thenextweb.com/2009/06/23/save-n ... et-access/

I just read it again and they decided against it.....

Phew.

Haha, don't worry, the US is going to socialism. Currently I work hard and pay for people who are irresponsible with their money to get money back from the government for buying a house. I bought a house 2 years ago, and bought one I could actually afford, and as a result, I now pay for people who didn't to get government money.

I also get taxed at the second highest tax rate available in SC. I'm fucking 26.

Lol if you guys don't like taxes you're gonna hate norway^^ Socialism all the way.
-Ex: 50%+ of what a car costs in Norway is taxes,
-12% of all food costs, pluss an extra tax on everything that is unhealthy like chocolate.
-25% on all other stuff electronics and the likes.

On the other hand health care and the 13 first years of school is free. But everything that is fun is so heavily taxed it's ridiculous.

I don't like Socialism. Sorry Anti, I'm a pretty pure capitalist. If someone else isn't as smart about managing their money than me, tough nuggies, learn.

I went all through middle school getting made fun of by kids whose parents were on welfare because my shoes weren't as cool as theirs. Then my parents sent me to college and now I pay taxes so those kid's kids can have cooler shoes than my kids will have, and those kid's inevitably are irresponsible with how many children they bring into this world as well.

Are you my brother?

^10 x10 to the 3,600 to everything that Dewstain said.

To make it worse, I bought my house in July 2007, approximately 6 months too early to enjoy the $7,000 interest-free government loan in the form of a lump-sum tax credit that is paid back at a rate of $500 per year for subsequent years. We could have used that nice money upfront to pay off credit card debt. Oh wait, we pay ours off at the end of every month! We would have paid off/down our student loan debt rather than buy a big screen television with a gazillion watt home theater system.

Who gives a mortgage to a person who cannot read nor comprehend the terms of the mortgage they are signing on, anyways? I cannot stand the bullshit from some people interviewed who said they didn't know what they were signing or didn't know that interest rates would get so high.

I also traded my gas-guzzling 2000 Ford Ranger for a slightly newer Mini Cooper, but I won't get the nice tax credit on that because I cannot afford to go out and buy a brand-new car from our bankrupt auto manufacturers. Even if I could afford to, I would rather buy from Ford than from ObamaMotors.

Our president, I'm sorry to say, is a dipshit and has no business trying to run corporations. They should have escorted Chrysler and GM through Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in December rather than throwing billions of dollars out the window.

Oh, and since I work for a government agency that is receiving American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding, my name is going to be published on the special website.

::sigh::

By the way...

Dewstain, it's 11:00pm. Do you know where your governor is?

Such a shame that's all gone way out of hand, though.

Hahaha...no, I don't, nor do I care. At least if he's not here, he's not turning down stimulus money to be used for education (note: SC ranks 49th in the country in education). I have to say, I'm fairly conservative when it comes to fiscal and defense issues, but there are some friggin' crazy ass Republicans down here.

Also, I know your feeling, Aenyn. Bought my house in March of '07, so no money for me. But my friend who bought one this year gets all that money. Lucky for him he was speeding around in his 35K Subaru STi while I was being fiscally responsible.

And we got a nice used Volvo wagon, and I drive a beat up Mazda Protege from the late '90s to work every day because it gets good gas mileage and doesn't break, hence I don't need a new car either. I guess I could trade in my GLI for a...Cobalt..no...hmmm...screw that. The fact of the matter is that the US car industry was in the shitter long before the economy. Car companies go under when they produce crap year in and year out. When I started seeing VWs and Mazdas at rental agencies, then I knew it was the end. I read somewhere that Dodge designed the new "Charger", and I use that term very loosely, with the prior knowledge that car rental fleets would feature it, and hence it didn't have to be very good.

Meanwhile, don't forget that Subaru, Toyota, Honda, BMW, and now VW all have factories in the US, so when you're buying any of those cars, you are, in fact, stimulating the American economy.

However, if you buy a Saturn, it is most likely manufactured in an Opel plant in Europe.

...Yay for Obama...Apparently the "Change" he was talking about belonged to me. Until he took it and gave it to needy kids with $150 Nikes.

I also might get to pay an extra tax on my healthcare because I get a zero-deductible, low cost healthcare plan that is subsidized by my employer.

So I've heard. I really can't wait to pay for other people's laziness.

Oh, and FYI, people who make $200K a year are now rich. Soon I will be rich, because if Obama's current trend continues, by 2015 anyone who makes more than $32K/Year will be considered "rich" so that the Democrats can still say that they're only raising taxes for the rich, but the rich will coencide with 80% of the population.
