Looks like VW wants to worm their way into the Evo/STi market a bit. Could they be considering WRC? I think that would be amazing. And I want one of these Golf Rs.

Aenyn, I think you should reconsider the 370z and look into one of these when and if they come to the States.

Are they bringing it over in manual as well as DSG?

I heard that this engine is using a K04 turbo, which means it has potential for a lot more power with just a chip / ECU tuning (as opposed to the K03 which I think is used in the GTi maybe?). Will miss the R32's sound though...

Yeah, the K03 is what's in my car, that doesn't have much potential, but I haven't heard if it has the K04. That'd be awesome.

It comes in both Manual and DSG, but they aren't sure if they're bringing it here yet. I think they probably will, we've proven there's a market for a top of the line Golf already.

Looks nice, but not gonna happen. I'm back to the Evo X now. 8-) I buzzed around in a 370Z a couple of weeks ago, and it just wasn't as fun as the Evo. Plus, my wife and I are ready for a baby, so I'm going to need four doors. I've even thought about the latest Caddy CTS-V, but I'd have to wait for a big bonus next year. :P

I'm more of a BMW person, anyways.

Yeah, an M5 is offley big for someone in their 20s.

Aenyn, I don't know if you heard before you shipped out, but my wife and I are expecting. I'm hoping they'll do a 4-door Golf R actually, since they did with the last R32.
